TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
Contact: Dr. Marc Pauchard
We want to bring the results of fundamental research to practical use by promoting an active technology transfer and a culture of open innovation with our partners.
AMI ensures that its innovative developments and ideas are quickly passed on to industrial firms for practical implementation through an efficient knowledge and technology transfer process. Since the beginning of 2009, an internal Technology Transfer Office has been providing all necessary support to researchers on all aspects of intellectual property rights, analysis and drafting of contractual agreements and exploitation of scientific and technical research results.
TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OFFICE FRIBOURG
AMI took a leading part in establishing a joint Technology Transfer Office in Fribourg, unifying the efforts of the Technical College of Fribourg (EIA-FR), the University of Fribourg and AMI in this direction: TT-Fribourg/Freiburg. The Technology Transfer Office has been operational since 2010 and will then act as the unique point of contact for researchers and industry, covering all the technological fields present in Fribourg including life sciences, materials science, nanoscience and engineering. AMI is member of the Swiss association of technology transfer professionals and the Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals.
These associations have the aim to promote professional technology transfer between academia and industry and to establish best practice in this field.
